In 1995 a committee under the North Carolina A&T Student Government Association created a pep squad to support A&T football and basketball games, the athletes, the band and the cheerleaders. The committee named the group Aggie Livewires. The group was active throughout that first school yearm working to increase school spirit and to support the football team at home games. Aggie Livewires was officially founded as an organization in 1996. Aggie Livewire consists of hard working, dedicated, and multi-talented individuals who promote “Aggie Pride” on campus and throughout the Greensboro community. Aggie Livewires performs at various A&T events, participate in the annual Greensboro Winter Walk for AIDS, and have been featured on BET, ESPN, and various other television and radio stations. This versatile group juggles full-time academics with a hectic athletic schedule. Many of the members also participate in other on-campus and national organizations. |
